Who are we?

Saltash RFC is a proud, community‑driven rugby club, bringing together players, families, and supporters of all ages. We run senior, youth, and mini teams, providing opportunities for everyone—from first‑time players to experienced competitors—to enjoy the game and be part of a strong, supportive club.

More than just a rugby team, Saltash RFC is a hub for the local community. We rely on the dedication of volunteers, supporters, and sponsors to keep the club thriving and accessible to all. We are committed to investing in our future by improving our facilities, developing our players, and creating an environment the whole community can be proud of.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Phase Two: Pitch Improvement Project

Saltash RFC is proud to launch Phase Two of our Pitch Improvement Project, building on the fantastic progress already made to improve our facilities for players, supporters, and the wider community.

With your support, we aim to raise £16,000 to continue transforming our club grounds. This phase focuses on enhancing pitch facilities and upgrading lighting to improve training, support evening games, elevate matchday experiences, increase player safety, and enable year‑round community use.

We are delighted to share that the RFU has selected Saltash RFC for the installation of a full floodlighting system at the ground. The RFU has committed to funding a significant portion of the project, with the club contributing £16,000 upfront. Funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards meeting that commitment.

Improved lighting will allow:

• Extended winter training sessions for all age groups and senior teams

• The opportunity to host evening fixtures and community games under lights

• Safer, higher‑quality playing and spectator facilities

• Greater use of the club for youth rugby and community events

• Continued development of Saltash RFC as a hub for sport and community spirit

As a volunteer‑led community rugby club, we are dedicated to providing the best possible environment for current and future generations. Every donation—big or small—will help us create facilities our players, supporters, and town can be proud of.

Community impact

The Phase Two Pitch Improvement Project will significantly strengthen Saltash RFC’s role at the heart of our community. Enhanced lighting and upgraded facilities will create a safer, more accessible environment for players of all ages, enable evening training and fixtures, and open the door to more youth rugby, local events, and community activities throughout the year. By improving our grounds, we’re not just investing in rugby—we’re investing in a space that brings people together, supports local families, and builds pride in Saltash. Every contribution helps us grow as a true community hub.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
