I need to raise funds for a safe space bed for my daughter who has a mitochondrial disorder, epilepsy and autism.
My daughter Leona was diagnosed with a mitochondrial disorder, epilepsy and autism.
She is a very special little girl with complex needs.
A safe space is a bed/space with high sides that will keep my daughter safe during the night. With out this she can not be left on her own and needs to be watched over constantly. She does not sleep well and is always trying to climb up onto the window ledge so safety is a major issue.
Our local council is not funding these special beds and my occupational therapist could not suggest any alternatives. As with all special needs equipment it is very expensive.
Our family would be so grateful for your support.
Below is an example of a safe space. The website for safe space is www.safespaces.co.uk
