Ruthless Jabiru's turning 15! Show your solidarity with just £1 in support of the orchestra's 15th anniversary projects
Many of you will remember Ruthless Jabiru's last Crowdfunder in aid of our debut album, Girl. We managed to smash our £10K target back then with thanks to 83 generous supporters at the height of the Covid pandemic.
5 years on and we're back on Crowdfunder as we prepare for the orchestra's 15th anniversary. The world feels a bit different now, so this time around we're focussing more on crowd metrics than dollar value and true to form, our target is bold:
400 supporters in 4 weeks.. we need you to show us it's possible!
Ruthless Jabiru makes performance work around issues and ideas that are complex, challenging, urgent.. and through our unique brand of orchestral storytelling, makes them beautiful, evocative, provocative..
Ruthless Jabiru's projects have explored ideas around forced migration, asylum policy, ethical sponsorship in the cultural sector, historic nuclear testing at Maralinga, female dis/empowerment in honour crime, and the UK’s first climate refugees; as well as a few other stories we've felt compelled to amplify over the years.
We're asking for your vote of confidence in our vision, £1 is enough
..but of course if you'd like to give more you're also very welcome. We have a range of rewards on offer and will be adding more as the campaign goes along. These are listed at value but you can also name your price to add a further donation.
