Aim
We are raising the funds to keep one of the bedrooms in our veterans home for short term respite for veterans with Poor Mental Health
- Since Help A Squaddie was formed back in 2015 we have known what the main issues are in the veteran community in our area. There is no supported emergency housing.
We have found that 95% of our homeless cases are due to relationship breakdown.
We have had numerous cases where the only place we could house veterans in a crisis situation is hotels.
Now imagine you are a Veteran who has just lost everything, your family due to relationship breakdown, your Job, your identity, Would you want to be in a room of a hotel?
We have now achieved our goal of purchasing a 4 bedroom property in Rugeley and now we are asking for your support to help us run it effectively.
The National Emergencies Trust has provided £7,100 of match funding
Aviva Community Fund has provided £5,825 of match funding
