Aim

I'm raising money for seven of the world’s highest impact climate mitigation charities with the Global Returns Project.

All money raised will be donated to the Global Returns Project (GRP), which distributes funds to seven best-in-class climate charities operating around the world. 100% of every donation will be split equally between the seven charities GRP supports, with no deductions.

Less than 2% of global philanthropy goes to climate mitigation. But philanthropy will play a vital role in delivering climate solutions, especially during this ‘Decisive Decade’ for our planet.

That’s where GRP comes in. GRP is a UK charity making it easy to donate to the best climate charities. Using a proprietary methodology, GRP has assembled a diverse selection of charities overseen by a team of leading environmental scientists and GRP’s Trustees.

100% of funds raised for my marathon will be distributed to the following charities by GRP:

• Blue Marine Foundation protects our oceans by setting up marine protected areas.
• ClientEarth uses the law to protect the planet through its team of environmental lawyers.
• Global Canopy creates innovative data tools to shine a light on deforestation in our supply chains.
• Rainforest Trust UK buys up and protects areas of threatened rainforest globally.
• Solar Sister trains and supports women to deliver clean energy directly to homes in rural Africa.
• Trillion Trees performs high-quality tree planting and forest restoration.
• Whale and Dolphin Conservation protects carbon-sequestering whale populations.
