Running the Half Marathon to Raise Band Money

Aim: I will be running over 13 miles and I will be raising money so the band can play music. So, people can hear the band and clean up the ocean.

"Playing music is one of the best things I have ever done with my life. It is some of the most fun I have ever had being in a band. However, the money it takes can be so much. More and more, places to play music are shutting, more and more, money is getting tight, and more and more, it means people can not enjoy music in their area. This gets us as well as the money to play music is not always there; can't play if you're in the red already from trying to live in 2025.

That's why we have started this. It may not reach anything but it makes a point. The UK's love of music is so easily seen in the eyes of the people but not in the eyes of those who lead. So, who better to ask for money from than the people who love music? Who better to make music for than the people? Who better?

So, in a few months, I will be running over 13 miles and I will be raising money so the band can play music. So, people can hear the band and love music and dance and have a good time. Isn't that what we should have? Isn't that what we should want?

For this as well, 25% of any money given will go to The Ocean Clean up, a non-profit trying to rid the world's oceans of plastic, and the rest will go to the band to afford to keep playing our wonderful music.”
