Running the Brighton Marathon to raise funds for Drusillas Conservation in Action charity
Project by Drusillas Conservation in Action
Hi everyone! My name is Ollie Smith, and I'm the Managing Director of Drusillas Park. This April, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes to take on my first ever running challenge - the Brighton Marathon – and I've set myself a tough (and possibly over-ambitious!) target of running it in 3 hours and 15 mins, to raise money for a cause close to my heart: Drusillas Conservation in Action Charity.
Drusillas Conservation in Action was established to support vital wildlife conservation projects around the globe. From protecting critically endangered species to preserving delicate ecosystems, we are committed to making a positive impact on wildlife and biodiversity.
Any donations you are able to make will help us:
How You Can Help?
Every donation, big or small, will bring us one step closer to our conservation goals. Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:
Why This Matters
Wildlife conservation is more important now than it's ever been. With habitat loss, climate change, and human activities threatening more than 41,000 species, we need to act now to protect our planet’s biodiversity.
What Time Am I Aiming For?
While I love the outdoors and all forms of exercise, this is my first-ever marathon! There will be a lot of nerves and anxiety I'm sure, but I am hoping to complete it in the time of 3 hours 15 minutes. I'll be pushing myself to my limit, in the name of conservation, and my dog Luna (pictured) is helping me on training runs!
Join Me on This Journey
Running 26.2 miles is no easy feat, but knowing that I’m doing it for such an important cause keeps me motivated.
Let’s come together to protect our planet and its wildlife. Thank you for supporting me and Drusillas Conservation in Action. Together, we can create a world where wildlife thrives.
