Rumbletums gives young people with a learning disability the chance to train in a cafe and to grow and flourish in the community.
Since it began 10 years ago with the goal of providing good quality work experience for young people with a learning disability Rumbletums has become an established training provider in Nottingham. We are delighted when our trainees develop their personal, social and work skills, as well as when they are able to move on and take up paid employment. No two characters are the same, so we work alongside every trainee to ensure that they get the best support and opportunities to develop their skills. Rumbletums employs a trainee support worker to do this, which we are fundraising for. We are also fundraising to help with increased energy costs for our cafe. We cook all the food and bake all the cakes as well as providing a warm and friendly space for people to feel welcome in. We run a weekly parent and toddler group as well as hosting many other community groups. Our energy costs are set to increase this year so we would love to fundraise for that as well.
