Aim: This project aims to develop changing facilities that support inclusivity, particularly for our expanding women and girls teams

Who are we?

Exmouth Rugby Club, founded in 1873, is a cornerstone of our town, promoting rugby and fostering community spirit. With over 900 members, we field 3 senior men's teams, a women's team, 17 junior teams, including 4 girls' squads, and an occasional Veterans team.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We have ambitious plans to develop our club facilities to ensure a long term sustainable future with facilities that support inclusivity and increase participation.

We are raising funds to create two RFU-specification changing rooms for our girls' and women's teams. These facilities will provide a safe, comfortable, and private space, encouraging more female participation and ensuring they have the amenities they deserve. The new changing rooms will also enable us to host more matches and events, further integrating women's rugby into our club.

We believe that by improving our facilities, we can continue to grow participation in women's rugby in Exmouth and the wider area, fostering a love for the sport and promoting equality both on and off the field. Your support will make a tremendous difference in achieving this goal.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised will help us complete the redesign and development of old changing rooms into 2 RFU Specification changing rooms suitable for use by women and girls. Money raised will bridge the gap between funds already secured and overall project costs.

Community impact

Facilities for women and girls wanting to play rugby and indeed other sports are generally either missing or inadequate in and around Exmouth. This project will help correct this fact and encourage women and girls from the wider community to participate in a sport which promotes fitness, teamwork, communication and social mixing. In addition, the facility can be used by local schools and organisations, including disabled adults and children.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
