Ruddington Cricket Club COVID-19 Appeal

Aim: This page looks to raise money for Ruddington CC, as well as taking advantage of match funding grants to double the amount raiseded.

Covid-19 has had a massive impact on cricket clubs across the country and Ruddington CC is no different. The weather is glorious, but unfortunately there has been no cricket played at Elms Park this year. That makes us all very sad, and also has a financial impact on the club. We might not be out there playing, but we still have bills to pay.

These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country. During the crisis we (mainly Jon) have managed to organise quiz and bingo nights to keep people engaged with the club as well as helping out with essential deliveries in the local community (again, Jon. What a guy!)

Sport England have recently announced a scheme where they will match fund any amount up to £10,000 raised by a club using crowdfunder. So here we are! We're offering a series of rewards that you can commit against, from bingo tickets for our next bingo night (25th June) to bringing forward subs for next year. We appreciate everyone has a different financial situation so are not going to mandate anything, but if you have the opportunity to buy these items now the money to the club will be doubled with no extra effort.

This funding will help us to pay those bills and make sure the club is in a sound financial position to carry us forward to next season and beyond.
