ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS TAMESIDE AND GLOSSOP BRANCH
The branch boards/fosters previously abused, neglected or unwanted animals in need until new homes are found. RSPCA Inspectorate animals are given priority. Operates welfare neutering and treatment schemes for owners in receipt of certain state benefits and Community Animal Action Days to raise awareness responsible animal ownership. Raises funds to support the above activities.

The Tameside and Glossop Branch of the RSPCA, is a self funded, separately registered charity, run entirely by volunteers. We do not employ paid staff.
We raise fund to continue to pay for private boarding, support our volunteer fosterers and to pay for, often large bills for veterinary treatment and medication for the cats and dogs brought into our care by RSPCA Inspectors.
When our dogs and cats are ready for adoption, they are rehomed to loving and caring new families. volunteer adoption support volunteers to ensure a good match is made between the animal and its potential adopter.
Donations and legacies also enable us to provide assisted neutering and treatment vouchers to enable people facing financial hardship to obtain veterinary care for their animals.
