RSPCA West Gwynedd Branch provides financial assistance towards paying veterinary bills and runs an almoning scheme offering free or subsidised neutering of cats and dogs to owners on means-tested benefits, while funds last. We re-home unwanted cats & kittens ourselves and through networking with other local animal charities. We work collaboratively with other North Wales RSPCA Branches, funding and operating a Mobile Animal Welfare Clinic that visits 6 disadvantaged communities (3 in our Branch area) every week, providing much-needed veterinary support to pets. Fund-raising is primarily via our shop at Pwllheli. ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS & MANAGERS ARE UNPAID.

How we help animals:
- We offer financial help with vet bills for pet owners on means-tested benefits, pension credit and students.
- We work collaboratively with other North Wales Branches to fund and operate a Mobile Animal Welfare Clinic that visits 6 localities every week (3 in our Branch area), bringing much-needed veterinary support to pets in our most needy communities.
- We run neutering schemes for dogs, cats and small animals like ferrets, rabbits.
- We foster and rehome animals when we can.
- We trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies.
- We support our local RSPCA Inspectorate team.
- We support our local RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre, Colwyn Bay through a Friends Group.
- We supply pet food to 5 Foodbanks in our area. The project to source pet food that would otherwise end up in landfill was established by one of our committee members. This has allowed Foodbanks across the whole of North Wales to have pet food supplies.
