RCN 232258, Southport

The RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch works to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals in the Southport area through the rehabilitation and rehoming of animals rescued by the RSPCA inspectorate.

ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS SOUTHPORT, ORMSKIRK AND DISTRICT BRANCH

The Branch operates a large animal centre just outside Southport (23 kennels & 38 cat pens) where it cares for animals rescued by the RSPCA.

Our main focus is to support the RSPCA inspectorate with the rehabilitation of cats and dogs from across the NW that are abandoned, abused, sick or injured and have had to be taken into RSPCA care.

The work of the animal centre is supplemented by a strong volunteer foster network (cats & dogs).

The staff and volunteer team are dedicated to giving animals another chance at life and spend hours working with even the most traumatised of animals to restablish a positive bond with humans and prepare the animal for a new start in life.

Rebuilding that trust can take  months of effort by the team but it is worth it when an animal is matched to a new owner who can meet its needs and provide a future loving home.

We believe that it takes ALL of us to create a world that is kinder to animals: please support us in that work.
