Life coaching and support for young people who need it most - breaking barriers and building confidence for a better future.
Every day, we see the transformative power of life-coaching - creating a safe space with a trusted adult in the lives of young people facing disadvantage. These challenges can shape futures - but with the right support, they don’t have to define them.
Thanks to the incredible generosity from MAB, throughout this crowdfunding campaign, your donation will be matched to THREE times its value (up to £5000) empowering young people in our community to start improving their own unique life journeys.

Your support will enable R!SE UP to bring life-coaching and mentoring to young people, and give access to vital emotional and psychological support to those who need it most in our community.
This is a powerful opportunity for you and local businesses to create real, lasting impact.
We have seen the power of life-coaching when working with young people who are experiencing a higher risk of poverty, social exclusion, discrimination, violence and abuse. We’re passionate about widening the support that we’re able to offer, reaching more local young people.
The funding will also facilitate access to professional counselling and trauma-informed therapy for those young people who need additional emotional and psychological support.
We have built strong, trusted relationships with local schools, enabling us to reach young people within our community, and we are proud of the dedicated coaching centres we’ve created.
These safe and supportive spaces means young people can focus and grow through our coaching programmes.

Case study - Be more Josh*
From a background that includes multiple adverse childhood experiences such as neglect, poverty, violence, abuse, county lines and gangs, this Rise legend is making positive strides in life!
His experiences have created a young man with an incredible set of strengths such as resilience, confidence, social intelligence and being a skilled negotiator- he just didn’t see it.
His coaching sessions have nurtured and channeled these many talents and provided a safe space for him to gain self-awareness. He is incredibly ambitious and focused on his future now but has also worked hard on ‘bringing the warmth’ back into his life.
With the support of Rise, Josh* is on the verge of sitting his exams and, with a college application in place, he is somebody that we are truly proud of. We are big believers that the gap between where you are now and where you want to be is action and, every week we encourage our clients to set an action step.
With a focus on improving his sleep hygiene, he has now begun to read books and last week, we witnessed him reading ‘The Compound Effect’ by Darren Harbour. He is becoming aware of the power of personal development and it’s incredible to see.
