Rowing a Marathon for Georgia’s Voice

Aim

I’m joining the Cornish Barbarians Pilot Gig Club to row a marathon and fundraise for Georgia’s Voice’s new Lifesaving Hub for Young Women.

I have found in Gig Rowing a sport in my late years that I so enjoy. Getting out to row in some incredible places with backdrops around the coast of the South West is often just enough but then when the racing starts that’s just something else! I was unable to row last year due to illness but enjoyed helping out the morning of the row. So I’m really looking forward to helping and rowing this time. This is one of a many ambitions I wish to fulfil now as a Gig Rower!

I know many friends supported me last year and I thank you for that, can you please once more support me and in turn support by donating towards Georgia’s Voice’s new Lifesving Hub for Young Women.

We will be rowing on 10th August 2024 and I also become a “Cornish Barbarian”, the row will take place in coastal waters of St Austell Bay. An early start will allow us all to row 26.2 miles in Cornish Pilot Gig boats with a crew I will get to meet on the day. We will all be supporting this incredible cause. The Hub will happen and we all can be proud of our part, please support this.
