Our track is under threat. Fires, vandalism, and illegal motorbikes are putting children at risk. We need your help to secure the future of Rotherham BMX.
Who are we?
For 24 years, Rotherham BMX has been a lifeline for local families. We are a 100% volunteer-run club and home to the only British Cycling regional-standard, open-access track in South Yorkshire.
From first-time riders to regional competitors, we provide a safe, inclusive space for young people who often face barriers elsewhere due to neurodiversity, anxiety, or social challenges. At Rotherham BMX, they don't just ride—they thrive.
The Crisis: Why we need your help
In just six weeks, our facility has faced a wave of targeted anti-social behavior:
Illegal Access: Off-road and electric bikes tearing up the specialized racing surface.
Arson: Stolen wheelie bins set on fire inside the track berms.
Vandalism: Repeated damage causing thousands of pounds in repair costs.
This is no longer sustainable. Most importantly, these incidents put children as young as five at risk. If we don’t act now, the damage will continue, and this vital community asset will be lost.

The Solution: £50,000 for Permanent Security
We are raising £50,000 to install secure, industrial-grade perimeter fencing. This is the only way to:
Stop illegal vehicle access and surface damage.
Prevent arson and vandalism.
Guarantee a safe environment for the next generation of riders.
Every pound goes directly to the fence. We will publish regular updates so you can see exactly how your donation is protecting the track.
