Aim

We are beyond excited to be heading into the studio to create our first FULL BAND EP (4-5 song record). Join us in making it happen..

We are Em & Fi, (or Fi & Em depending which one of us you ask) two best friends that met while studying at Nexus ICA. It wasn't until our third year that we discovered we had the same passion for Country & Americana music. So we teamed up, gave performing a go and the rest is history. 

For those who are reading this and don't know us, our sound is a fusion of folk, country and americana, so we can get your feet stompin’ along with our kick drum as well as enjoying the quieter reflections of harmony and story-telling. We like our own songs to reflect the joy in life as well as the importance of identity and faith. Many of our songs come out of trials where we have needed to sing the songs to ourselves and believe them. We love performing and engaging with our diverse audiences and we write songs with the intention that our audience will leave feeling empowered, inspired or some sense of freedom from the burdens of life.

We are so grateful for the experiences and opportunities we have had so far. From getting to know the locals in pubs and cafes across the country to supporting Scouting For Girls, Wildwood Kin and being invited to play The British Country Music Festival. We have really been living a dream and it is all thanks to our kind fans, family and friends who support us.

Since the season we are in has lead to venues closing, we, like many musicians, have had a big loss to our income. But we are so thankful for the support we have received whether finically, in prayers or through friendly encouragements. The online community within the country scene has also been a blessing and is such a beautiful place for encouragement and growth as songwriters, so we have loved the live streams and writers rounds that the pioneers of the UK Country Scene have made available. So a big thank you to all who make it possible (you know who you are!)

We have also tried to make the most of this year by embarking on the challenge to fully record and produce a single ourselves from our flat and create a music video. It was a real highlight of our year and if you haven't yet, check out the video here:

This pandemic has delayed our plans to tour and get recording, but the timing now feels perfect to us and we have been lucky to find a wonderful producer who is as passionate about us and our sound as we are. 

Now here is where you come in.. you as well as us have never heard ROSSO with a big band- mandolin, lap steel, drums- ALL of it and we want to go big with these recordings and do them well, which all costs money. Alongside this record, we also want to produce hard copies of the CD, merchandise and videos for you all to enjoy. We have saved money from our performing over the last year and have covered half of the instalment but we would love it if you could join in with our vision and give what you can to make this dream happen.
