Aim

The Rose & Crown is opening this May — help us raise £25k to build a beer garden fit to spend your summer afternoons in.

Help us take The Rose & Crown's beer garden to the next level — and become a founding part of a new local for Rickmansworth and Harefield.

The Rose & Crown has been closed, stripped back, and rebuilt from the ground up.

We're Craft Locals — the independent pub group behind The Red Lion in Chenies and The Grand Junction Arms in Tring — and we've put serious investment into bringing this pub back to life. We've fixed the roof, added new interiors, fitted an upgraded kitchen, and built a bar and cellar perfect for cask ale, craft beer and great drinks. The Rose & Crown will be a pub that gives back to the community it sits in.

We're nearly there. But there's one piece left, and we want your help to do it properly, ready for Summer 2026.

The Beer Garden

There's going to be a good beer garden. That was always the plan — and work is already under way, with the pergola upgraded and the space taking shape.

But with your help, we want to make it genuinely special. Better seating, thoughtful planting, and lighting that makes it somewhere worth staying on a long summer evening. Somewhere you can relax, take in the views, and not want to leave. Somewhere families are welcome. Somewhere dogs are welcome. Somewhere the people of Rickmansworth and Harefield are proud to call their local.

We're raising £25,000 to take it from good to great. Every pound goes directly into this space — nothing else.

Back us now, and we'll see you this May.
