Continued sessions for a longer period of time.
Our aim is to improve health and wellbeing through varied creative wellbeing workshops and sessions, whilst also reducing social isolation.
Rose Cottage Community Hub CIC, was started in July 2020 by Michelle Douglas-Allison. We are located in Trimdon Grange which is classed as a one of the highest deprived areas in the County. We are here to serve the community and help reduce social isolation by providing opportunities for people to try varied crafts and wellbeing sessions.

Our Hub has had a great impact on the local community over the past two years, and has started to expand out into communities further afield with more people each week wanting to attend the sessions held at Rose Cottage. We have received feedback from beneficiaries saying how the Hub has given them a new lease of life, and they don't know what they would do without it, lots of new friendships have been formed and skills gained which in turn has improved confidence and mental health. We are providing a warm safe place for the community to attend they can get hot drinks and in some sessions hot food for FREE, the community also have access to advice and services.

We want to be able to provide additional weekly sessions throughout the winter months, allowing people to access a warm space whilst attending a creative wellbeing session, currently more people are wanting to be out of the house and in a warm space due to the increased energy costs, and therefore we have more people wanting to attend the sessions that we currently have running.

We will use the money to pay towards the increased energy bills, to pay for the staff for the additional sessions, and pay for the continuation of free hot drinks.
