Are you passionate about community, sustainability, and fresh produce? Look no further! Rooted Community Food is on a mission to make a positive impact in Eastbourne. Here’s what we’re all about:

Our Mission: We grow, harvest, and gather food to support community fridge projects. By sharing our bounty, we’re nourishing both people and the planet.

Community Allotments: In just our second growing season, we’ve established two thriving community allotments. Our main plot focuses on food-growing and skill-sharing. We meet three times a week to tend to our crops, and last year, we exceeded our 1-tonne goal by gathering 1.7 tonnes of food! This year, we’re aiming for an impressive 4 tonnes.

Diverse Support: Our 30-strong growing team and twenty families with young children form the backbone of our project. We’re all about inclusivity! Our children’s sessions and food festivals are open to the public, and we welcome new members through our special “Growing Team Welcome Program.”

The Well-Being Sanctury: Now, we need your help! Our crowdfunder aims to create a  well-being hub. Picture this: a wooden bespoke-built summerhouse with double doors opening onto a lush kitchen garden filled with veggies, flowers, and wildlife. It’s a place to escape, find peace, and connect with nature. Plus, we’ll host art workshops and craft sessions for everyone to enjoy.

Join us in nurturing our community and growing a brighter future. Let’s make Rooted Community Food thrive! 🌿
