The Roehampton Playing Fields Community Trust are looking for community support to raise funds for our pavilion renovation.
Roehampton Playing Fields Community Trust is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to serving as the guardians of Roehampton Playing Fields on behalf of and for the benefit of the local community in Roehampton and West Putney.
Our mission is to preserve, protect, and enhance these vital green spaces, ensuring they remain accessible and well-maintained for current and future generations. We work tirelessly to provide high-quality sporting and recreational facilities that promote health, wellbeing, and community cohesion.
The Playing Fields serve as a hub for local sports clubs, youth football leagues, and community activities, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds. As stewards of this cherished community asset, we are committed to sustainable management practices and continuous improvement of the facilities to meet the evolving needs of our community.
The Playing Fields host a range of exceptional community programmes designed to break down barriers to participation and create opportunities for all. We are particularly proud of our targeted initiatives supporting underserved groups, including programmes for families on low incomes, dedicated women and girls' activities, and inclusive disability sport. These programmes reflect our commitment to ensuring that everyone in our community, regardless of their circumstances or background, has the opportunity to participate in sport and recreation.
Through collaborative partnerships with local organisations, sports clubs, and community members, we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the benefits of outdoor recreation and sport.
The proposed improvements include updating changing facilities, improving kitchen facilities, repairing the roof, enhancing accessibility features and offering internal space to run courses and activities for the local community.
Planning permission has been granted and work is scheduled to start in 2026.
We are seeking contributions from organisations, residents and stakeholders who have a vested interest in maintaining quality sporting facilities. Any financial support you could provide would be greatly appreciated and would go directly toward the renovation costs.
