Roe Green Christmas/Festival Lights 2026 & Events

Aim
Raising funds to improve the Christmas/Festival lights on the Green for 2026 and beyond and to continue to raise funds for community events.
1. Christmas/Festival Celebration Lights. To improve and add to the lights on the Green to reflect years gone by, when the lights on the Green were plentiful.
2. Community Event Funding. Multiple events to bring our community together e.g. Easter Egg Hunt, Picnics on the Green, Quiz nights, social events.
3. Events for the elderly/isolated persons. To encourage our elderly/isolated members of our community to gather regularly for social events.
4. Horticultural Projects. To keep Roe Green as an attractive green space adding to the flowers and shrubs. We are also hoping to acquire one or more of the unused allotments in Roe Green and build a Community Allotment to bring people together, improve the area and provide food sources for the benefit of the community.
5. Remembrance on the Green. To add to poppies and decorations on the Green for our remembrance services to honour our fallen.
Please help us continue to fund the amazing work our community has started by donating to our page. Any funding up to £6000 will be match funded by Salford City Council, so your £1 becomes £2.
