Aim

We've invested in new courts, but now we need to raise additional funds to maintain them and prevent damage, ensuring the long-term service.

We Did it! A massive "Thank you!" to all our supporters!

Our Crowdfunder campaign successfully ended yesterday, and we are blown away by the support from local businesses donating rewards, the generous match funding from Sports England and Salford Council, and everyone pledging towards our target.

We achieved our initial target in less than 20 days and raised additional funds towards our stretch goals!

Your support will help us keep the courts in tip-top condition for years to come and provide local sports facilities for our community.

Match funding pledges from Sports England & Salford Council!

We are almost there! Help us reach our target of £30,000 worth of pledges from at least 100 supporters, and Sports England (£9,000) and Salford Council (£10,000) will make good on their match funding offers. We are incredibly thankful for everyone's amazing support!

Who are we?

Roe Green Tennis Club boasts three all-weather courts situated in a picturesque setting in Roe Green, Worsley. It operates as a not-for-profit organisation, overseen by a volunteer committee reliant on the backing of our members and the community. This year marks the club's centenary celebration, a big milestone in our history.

Why are we here?

We believe in fostering health and wellbeing in our community, and as a non-for-profit organisation we’ve delivered benefits for our members and beyond. With a vibrant and expanding membership, we engage with the wider community through programmes such as coaching, walking tennis, and competitions. Recently, we've been granted CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club) status with HMRC. This will amplify our ability to promote physical activity and wellbeing for generations to come. For further insights into our impact, visit our website and Facebook page.

Why are we fundraising?

In the past year, the club has fundraised for a much-needed refurbishment, with support from members, neighbours, the Roe Green community, and generous contributions from Valencia Communities Fund and The Booth Charities. We're currently refurbishing our courts, set for completion in mid-April 2024, thanks to the collective effort. The investment has been entirely directed towards renewing the three courts. Now, our focus shifts to maintaining and securing the new courts for long-term community use.

How can you support?

Our members and the local community have pulled together to present you with some amazing rewards for your donations. You can choose from spa and leisure club passes and dining vouchers (see below the list of amazing reward donations). Don’t delay, we’ve got a limited number of rewards and momentum is critical.

If you’re a local business, you can also offer rewards, contact us via this page to arrange this. We rely on you to spread the word, so please share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us, or create your own fundraising page to raise funds in a fun challenge.1712169923_1712169922512.pngThank you, the Roe Green Tennis Club.
