Rockstar Games is one of the most successful and influential video game companies in the world, now gearing up for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Last October they sacked 31 of our members without warning, in what we believe was a flagrant act of union-busting to stop their workers from organising.
The IWGB exists to fight for workers – particularly those who are isolated, struggle to unionise and face harassment for trying to access their rights.
We’re raising funds for a landmark legal case to win justice for the dismissed Rockstar workers. We want to see reinstatement of the fired workers or, failing that, compensation and a ruling that what happened was unfair.
This action will be one of the most significant cases we have ever brought. It’s paramount that we secure justice for our members, who lost everything, but it could mean so much more than that. The hearing has the potential to create a ripple effect that positively impacts workers across the UK who are seeking to organise and improve their working conditions.
Put simply, cases like this one are central to what we do. We need your support to help win justice for the Rockstar 31 and create change for workers the length and breadth of Britain.
- £20 Build the case: Help us gather, organise and protect vital evidence.
- £50 Back a worker’s voice: Help a dismissed worker prepare their evidence and tell their story.
- £100 Level the playing field: Contribute towards specialist legal advice to take on a global gaming giant.
