This year on the farm we are fundraising for Shepton Mallet Mens Shed in honour and memory of Craig.
For nearly a decade Craig Stevens ran The Good Life Projects on Rock Farm, realising a lifelong ambition to have a small holding and to educate kids and adults alike in field to plate practices.
A few years ago he got funding to create a community kitchen which would work vulnerable adults and SEND children. Sadly Craig died by suicide before this dream was turned into a reality but Rock Farm owners Gavin and Erica want to honour the intention of the space by opening it up to community groups and hosting food events that pay it forward. Each year we will select a charity to donate to and all bookings of what we are calling Craig's Kitchen will include a donation to the chosen charity
This year we have decided to dontate to Shepton Mallet Mens Shed who counter the isolation and loss of direction that many men experience through retirement, unemployment, poor health or bereavement. They provide companionship, activities and the opportunity to learn and share skills for people of any age. To fundraise this year we are hosting a selection of food traders who's pitch fee will be donated and so far we are delighted to have raised £280.
Any amount you can afford to donate is appreciated.
Thank You
