Rochdale Campaign for the Workers Party May 2026

Farooq Ahmed is our lead Councillor in Rochdale along with Minaam Ellahi.  Both are hardworking and dedicated to their respective wards. We are inundated from other wards because Labour Councillors do nothing for individuals. With more councillors we can do more and help more people.

We are supporting a young dynamic team of well-educated candidates across central Rochdale.  Waqar Khan, Beni Blessing, Mohammed Shafiq, Sal Mohammed, Kamran Bahadur and Altaf Nadeem. We have six candidates so far, but are trying for more. Labour has a stranglehold on the council and the deprivation in the Town is worse than ever. A change in direction from a young energetic team is a must.

Rochdale needs a new direction the Workers Party has a plan and plenty of support. However elections cost money, whilst we have some support we need to go the extra mile. We need funds to campaign for a better future, we need to fund our offices in the Town and produce, print and distribute flyers and other information to the general public.  We also need to fund an Ad Van for the Election proper just for a few days to drive our message home.  

With your help the Workers Party can succeed where others have failed Because we will deliver for our Town.
