We plan to invest in a robotic lawnmower to keep our GAA pitches in top condition for games, training, and community events.
Robert Emmets GAC Cushendun has been part of the Glens of Antrim community since 1904. Founded to promote Gaelic games and cultural identity, the club has grown into a focal point for sport, health, and social connection. Our home, Lig na Arigid Park, overlooks Cushendun beach and sits beside National Trust land, reflecting the unique heritage of the area.
Today, the club fields a senior hurling team competing in the Antrim Division 2 League and Intermediate Championship.

We are investing in an Echo Robotics TM‑1050 robotic mower to ensure consistent, high-quality pitch maintenance, supporting safe play and excellent facilities for training, matches, and community events.
The Echo Robotics TM‑1050 will maintain up to 45,000 m² of playing surface with consistent quality, operating quietly and producing zero emissions. Its battery-powered system reduces our environmental impact, while fine mulching improves turf health and sustainability. By replacing diesel-powered mowing with this greener, automated solution, we will enhance pitch standards, eliminate carbon emissions, and lower operating costs, benefits that will last for years.

We will use funds solely to buy, install and commission the robotic mower and cover first-year essentials.

Sport NI’s Olympic Legacy Fund will cover 65% of the lawnmower once we raise the remaining 35% (we need a minimum of 60 pledges). Every £1 you donate helps us unlock this funding.
Our project will deliver a lasting benefit for Cushendun by ensuring that our GAA pitches remain safe, consistent and accessible for all. High‑quality playing surfaces are essential for player welfare and performance. While the facilities are primarily intended to support Gaelic games, the pitches and meeting rooms are also regularly used by a wide range of community groups and organisations, reinforcing their value as an important shared resource within the local area.
There are three simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Every donation brings us closer to unlocking Sport NI’s match funding. Your support now is critical, momentum inspires others and helps us reach our goal faster.
2. Spread the word. Share our campaign on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The more people we reach, the stronger our community effort becomes.
3. Get Involved. Get involved. If you or your business can contribute a voucher, product or service for our prize draw, your support would be greatly appreciated. Every contribution helps us move closer to our fundraising goal, and we will acknowledge your generosity across our social channels.
👉 Please donate – we only have 6 weeks to meet the Sport NI deadline.
We wish to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for supporting our fundraising efforts for a new robot lawnmower. As our club continues to grow, we are committed to planning for the future needs of all our members.
By supporting this project, you are not only helping us maintain and improve our facilities, but you also are helping shape the next chapter of our club’s development.
Go raibh míle maith agat as do thacaíocht agus do fhlaithiúlacht.
