Road Trailer and Launching Trolley for Skiff

Aim
The aim of the project is to buy a Road trailer and launching trolley. Currently we have no road trailer and our launching trolley is heavy!
Who are we?
Lochaber Coastal Rowing is a community based coastal towing club in Fort William. We row from Corpach Marina.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to purchase a road trailer and launching trolley. We don't have a road trailer so are unable to travel to other venues and events. Our current, affectionately named 'Frankentrolley' is home made and has served us well for the first year. It is however heavy to handle and difficult to launch and land from as the timber construction floats!
How we’ll spend the money raised
The road trailer and launching trolley are especially made for St Ayles Skiffs and are used by many similar coastal rowing clubs. The cost of both together is £2200 (including VAT).
Community impact
The new road trailer and launching trolley will make it possible to travel to meet other clubs and row in other venues and make sessions more accessible. The trolley will be easier make it easier to launch and land the skiff (even at low tide when the slipway is long and steep!). This is a barrier to participation for smaller rowers or people with limited mobility. The road trailer will enable us to participate in events and socials with other clubs, in our rural area this is very important as most clubs only have one rowing skiff.

We appreciate that members have already paid an annual fee, this covers all our insurance costs, marina fees and membership of Scottish Coastal Rowing Association.
If you have visitors or family who want to come along for a 'try a row' but are not becoming full members we highly appreciate a small donation to help us reach our fundraising target.
