Aim
Community space specifically for children/teens and young adults with additional needs where they can help develop social skills
✨✨I have lived in Chorlton my whole life (39 years) and I am very very keen to start a community centre specifically for children/teens or young people struggling with anxiety, depression or those that have additional needs.
I want a place for these kids to go where they feel heard, seen, understood and where they don't feel "different".. A chance to hang out and make new friends.
I also work with complex needs children in a high risk children's home, anything from trauma, depression, abuse, ADHD so I feel I have the personal and professional experience to do this.
I want it to also include structured sessions like crafts, art, DJ/music lessons, learning a new skill, help getting into employment, life skills, mental health support etc.
