By pledging £20, you are pre-ordering your book which includes UK delivery. The book is to be released by the end of November 2026.

Norman Rimmington BEM dedicated his life to the beautiful game. Starting out as a goalkeeper with his hometown Barnsley in the war league, Norman would return to his beloved club after stints with Hartlepools, Wisbech, Buxton and Denaby United. Returning to Oakwell after retiring from playing, he started a remarkable stint of more than 60 years which saw him undertake virtually every role at the club.

Youth Coach, Senior Coach, Assistant Manager, Caretaker Manager, Physio, Groundsman, Kitman and then working in the laundry until beyond his 90th birthday, this is the story in his own words along with those who knew and loved him. Tales from the touchline, treatment room and between the sticks, this story is sure to fascinate any fan of the beautiful game in its purest form, right through to the modern day.

More Famous Than Fergie is the result of dozens of hours of interviews with Norman himself, supplemented by research of other resources and interviews with many of Norman’s friends, family and former colleagues, including tributes and memories of the great man from some of the game's finest.
