RGK Around the World in 80 Days

Aim

I am raising money for a charitable cause that is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target

We (RGK and friends) as a team, will collectively push/cycle/run/walk AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS!!!  ….Yes, that’s 40,075km (24,901m).  If everyone at RGK contributed, it would be 500km each over 80 days (6km per day).  The aim is to raise money for BackUp who support people with spinal injuries.  The other aim is to help everyone get fit and healthy during the summer.  6km per day is only riding a bike or walking to work or simply exercising so hopefully manageable for most people.   Details below,

Start date: 1st July 00:00 HRS

End date: 18th September 24:00 HRS

Each person will be in one of these categories for different levels of fitness, hoping that everyone will do more over the duration as we get fitter! 

A - 80km per week (914km total)

B - 60km per week (685km total)

C - 40km per week (457km total)

There will be 60 spaces, and you will be required to commit to the miles, or you will be named and shamed!  There will be leader boards and plenty of social media!!  Friends and family are welcome but RGK staff will have priority.

The rules will be; it can be any form of exercise (indoor or outdoors) but it must be recorded on an app or tracker and submitted every Friday, via screen shot to the WhatsApp or FB group – RGK Around The World In 80 Days.     

Everyone will be required to post the fundraising link on their social media to raise funds and of course, RGK will be pushing it loads.  Our target is 10p per 1km = ~£4k on a single collection page. 

Confirmation of places will be required by the 26th June.  Just join the Facebook group and say what category you want.  If you don’t use FB, there will be a WhatsApp group as well.
