Hoping to upgrade the sports area in our much loved Stationers Park for our children and future generations to enjoy.
The Friends of Stationers Park are looking to resurface the rough, gravelly surface on its Multi Use Games Area.
We love our small neighbourhood park. But one thing it really needs is an upgraded pitch as the current one is grotty, unloved and even dangerous to play on.

Girls and boys of all ages love using this area of our well loved green space for football, basketball and other sports like rugby. But too many times they are coming home with grazes on their knees, elbows and hips.
Stationers has one of the highest population of kids of any park for its size.
It has a very mixed community and serves a diverse group of people.
There are a lot of kids living around this densely populated area, many without gardens, and they deserve something better so they can get fit and have fun, without needing to drive to facilities outside of the borough which is
During the pandemic it became clear that young people really suffered if they did not have enough space to exercise for the sake of their mental and physical well being. That's why now, it's more important than ever to provide enough public spaces with good exercise facilities.
What we really want is a lovely new surface for our budding athletes to be able to run, jump, tackle, slide and skid on. And if we're really thinking big, some new goals that the ball can slide into rather than bounce off!

The area has been earmarked for improvement by Haringey Council and Sport England. Haringey Council have agreed to put £20,000 towards the project. We need to raise the other £15,000.
As a thank you for your generous donations, there's an opportunity to claim a reward from one of the generous businesses in the area. Pick up a fresh artisanal coffee from Stationers Park Cafe, take your baby to a guitar led singing group, get 25 per cent off a professional photo shoot from Belinda Burton, or even enjoy a slap up meal at Crouvh End pan Asian restaurant Tootoomoo and hip Kentish Town eatery Never For Ever, in return for a pledge.

The Friends of Stationers Park already do some amazing things for the park. As well as their annual festive Carols by Candlelight, they take an active role in the brilliant Crouch End Festival, where the park is used for children's sessions and stalls. They also host activities in the park like free fitness for kids sessions, toddler singing groups, and remote control car rallies. It was due to the hard working efforts of the group, that the Friends managed to build a beautiful new infant playground for the park.
So let's build on that success and make this new pitch happen!
