Aim: Help us raise money to complete the purchase, restore and maintain Gartcosh Memorial Park located behind the War Memorial.
Gartcosh Development Trust is a community non-profit organisation , our aim is to raise funds to help support initial maintenance and future grant applications to develop the park.
Our current park is run down and in disrepair due to withdrawal of council support. We are hoping to raise funds to help with refurbishing costs of this green space which will be a fun, fresh and inviting place for all ages for many years to come. The park restored, would be a great asset to the village and saving this land is something for the community to be proud of.
Gartcosh Development Trust is a community-owned and led organisation, working to combine community-led action with an enterprising approach to address and tackle local needs and issues. The aim of a development trust is to create social, economic and environmental renewal in a defined geographical area, creating wealth within that area and keeping it there.
Bringing together the community, Gartcosh Development Trust is spreading the message that each individual can play a part in building a stronger community in Gartcosh. When a community discovers what it cares about, it is the greatest power for change.
