Hi! My name is Shahnaz Begum. Thank you so much for visiting my Crowdfunder!
I have been a beauty therapist for more than 20 years- I have studied under the great Ayurvedic beauty guru Shahnaz Husain, and obtained my NVQ Level II qualifications. I came to London 2010 from India and began working in beauty salons part time while attending university for hospitality management.
I have lived in Leytonstone for 10 years, and that is where I want to have my business. I care a lot about my community, and my goal is always to help people survive and thrive. I volunteer at the Red Cross and other organisations like Stories & Supper, fundraising and cooking my famous Paneer Curry!
I joined TERN in April 2020 to pursue my dream of opening my own all-natural Ayurvedic salon. I have been working hard to develop my business, named after my daughter, Reshma's Natural Beauty! I am now self-employed as a sole trader, and leasing a therapy room. I plan to open the doors to a 3-chair salon in Leytonstone, and one day offer apprenticeships to share my skills with refugee women. This way I can do what I love, and my dreams and skills will come alive!
