Rescatando Nuestros Arrecifes y Manglares

Beach, mangroves and dive site clean ups. Educational programme for local schools

  we have been involved with Rescatando Nuestros Arrecifes y Manglares here in and around La Paz trying to improve the environment by taking part in the regular programme of cleanups. All work is done by willing volunteers helped by a number of businesses who have provided logistical support free of charge so that the cleanups can go ahead without the volunteers incurring costs remembering many of them are students on very limited budgets. Well, of course, the clean ups are a great way of making a difference but what will really make a difference is to follow up with school visits with a presentation of what it is all about. The transport is organised, we have the photos, the spiel and the people to present the material but what is missing is the means of delivery - namely a laptop and and a projector. SO..... this is where I hope you will come in and help. The sum we would like to raise is fairly modest, just 10,000 pesos MX around £400 sterling or $600 USD.  we as adults have responsibility to ensure that children are given the opportunity to learn about how they can protect what we have now and to engender appropriate attitudes to looking after the beauty of La Paz and the surrounding area.
