Aim
We have been completely devastated by arson attack at our Scout Hut, please help us to replace our equipment and build our new home.
The 5th Exmouth Sea Scouts have lost almost everything. Our familiar wooden hut, home to generations of young scouts since 1967, has now been destroyed in an arson attack. Inside was all the equipment we relied on every week — kayaks and boats for adventures on the water, camping gear for nights under the stars, buoyancy aids, paddles, sports kit, heaters, kitchen equipment, and more.
For the past three years, we’ve been working hard to raise funds for a much-needed new hut. Construction had begun, but we hadn’t yet raised enough to finish it. Now, with the old hut gone, we currently have no usable home at all — and no equipment to continue our activities.
The 5th Exmouth Sea Scouts are one of only five remaining groups in the Exmouth & Budleigh Salterton Scout District. Without urgent help, we cannot continue providing the safe, welcoming space that has been at the heart of our community for decades.
With your support, we can complete our new Scout Hut, replace the equipment we’ve lost, and get our Scouts back on the water, back under canvas, and back together — ready to create new memories for generations to come.
