Replacement of Floodlights with LED lightbulbs

Aim: The floodlight at the Club are increasingly unreliable with escalating costs. We want to replace 1 set of floodlights with LED bulbs

Who are we?

Tring Tennis Club is a Club run on a voluntary basis by Members. The Club has 6 tiger turf courts, floodlights, in need of replacement over time, and a welcoming clubhouse.

We are a friendly club open to everyone.

Why are we crowdfunding?

The Club wants to replace one set of Floodlights due to the existing floodlights becoming unreliable and being increasingly expensive to run and maintain

Sport England have offered the Club a grant of £6,557 if the Club can raise funds to at least match that amount

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised, together with the Sport England grant and a top up of club reserves, will be used to replace the floodlights on courts 1 & 2 with new LED bulbs which will have greater longevity and be much cheaper to run

Community impact

Tring Tennis Club are actively involved in the wider community in Tring. In addition to managing our own facilities the Club have taken on the management of the Public Tennis Courts nearby.

The Club also works actively with local schools and allows school matches to be played at the Club at no charge.

As well as reducing ongoing costs and improving sustainability, the new floodlights will be better targeted on the tennis courts and less intrusive for neighbours of the Club
