We understand that people are drawn to our venue and charity for different reasons. To directly fund our work that promotes ethical thinking, support our Make Ethics Matter Crowdfunder.

For almost a century, countless people have celebrated, gathered, debated and danced under Conway Hall’s roof. However, as might be expected with a historic building such as ours, some of the structure is beginning to show its age and the roof is in need of repair and renovation.

After having the roof surveyed, over the next 5 year we will have to shoulder a cost of almost £250,000. Crowdfunding a tenth of this would be a phenomenal start and allow us to start this vital work.

We invite you to support our Crowdfunder to repair and restore the roof of our iconic venue, securing its future as a place where ideas flourish, history thrives and communities gather.

Since the building's completion in 1929, it has hosted a wide variety of events such as influential talks on the establishment of the NHS, the first national conference on AIDS with Gay & Lesbian Switchboard in 1983 and musicians such as Muddy Waters, Humphrey Lyttleton and The Cure.

Restoring the roof ensures the preservation of our Grade II listed space – including our Main Hall, Library and Archives. Crucially a well-maintained roof allows us to continue hosting a diverse range of events. From lectures and debates to concerts and weddings, allowing Conway Hall to remain a versatile venue for a rich creative and cultural programme, enriching debates, and show-shopping performances across a roster of diverse talent, from grassroots to the more established.

Your contribution, no matter how small, helps to preserve Conway Hall's legacy as we approach its centenary in 2029. By donating to this roof restoration Crowdfunder, you'll become a part of the building's history and ensure that our celebrated venue can remain a place, for another century, for people to gather - whether to reshape the world, discover new ideas, engage in debate, enjoy music, use our Library or in celebration.
