This is your chance to win one of six amazing books about housing - or the latest paperback from renter ally and literary phenomenon Sally Rooney. The prizes on offer are:
Generation Rent is the UK's voice for private renters. We campaign to make our homes safe, secure and affordable - and our work has led to the banning of letting agent fees and the requirement for landlords to make their homes fit for human habitation.
Thanks to our campaigning, Parliament is close to voting through the Renters' Rights Bill, which will stop landlords in England evicting tenants without needing a reason, set up a national register of landlords, and make it easier for renters to keep a pet, among other reforms.
Every October we run Renters' Rights Awareness Week - a series of webinars to help you understand how to deal with the problems you might encounter as a renter. With so many changes coming up, this year is going to be a big one.
Our webinars this year (13-17 October) cover disrepair, rent refunds, deposit protection and what to expect when the Bill comes into force.
We're running this prize draw to help raise awareness of rights among renters over the next 12 months. The more we raise, the more renters we can reach and equip with the knowledge they need to take on their landlord the next time their deposit goes AWOL or their ceiling collapses.
