Aim: Remove Shadow's Cateracts (in each eye) and Restore his Sight PS He is nine years old and the sweetest dog you could ever imagine.
I'm not sure if this is the right category, but Shadow was rescued as a puppy. He was the runt of the litter with a cateract in his right eye. His owner was going to take him to Battersea Dog Home in London, but upon hearing this, animal lover and veteran Staffordshire Bull Terrier owner Jon Grove came to the rescue. Despite only having one eye, Shadow lived a happy life. He had dog friends, and even became a father of two pups, Raven and Zeus, who he still sees regularly. In 2019, Shadow was joined by his new 'sister', a puppy named Starlight, who he loves very much. Unfortunately, Shadow began bumping into things and becoming disorientated sporadically, prompting a visit to the PDSA, who diagnosed him with a second cateract in his only good eye, leaving him with very limited sight. Since it costs £4000 an eye to have the cateracts removed, we (his human daddy and mummy) are creating a CrowdFunding Page for him.
Please help turn on the lights for Shadow, a wonderful, intuitive, loving dog. The most placid being you can imagine, who doesn't even respond to cats having a swipe at him, loving father to Zeus and Raven, and older 'brother' to Starlight. Everyone who meets him comments on what a lovely dog he is. #StaffordshireBullTerrier #StaffyLove #TheGiftofSight #OAD #DogsGettingOldet #SeniorDogs #ChampionDog #GentleGiant #BigBaby ????????????
