REHOBOTH COMMUNITY OUTREACH CLUB
Rehoboth Community Outreach club started reaching out to vulnerable families in 2013. In March 2014 Rehoboth started receiving requests for support with addressing the increasing issue of food poverty amongst the single homeless living in hostels and the local street homeless. Rehoboth was providing over 200 hot meals every Monday & Thursday for the community and local hostel in 2015. That number have since tripled in 2023 and we have extended our services. We are now open Monday -Thursday & Saturday 11am - 2pm ( or 3pm) .

1The Rehoboth Community Outreach Club service is facilitated by a team of 25 volunteers who cook, serve food, clean, deliver hot meals and food parcels, and provide the befriending, mentoring and training activities. Currently our soup kitchen/ feeding programme in 2023 now provides over 1450 - 1500 meals per week which includes; hot meals, chilled meals, frozen meals, pizzas and sandwiches supporting the local communities struggling with food insecurities.
Our numbers have increased during the food crisis. In November 2022 our survey revealed that we were helping to support an estimated 550 - 600 people living in Boroughs of Lewisham, Bromley and Croydon. These are; 300 homeless people (living in 7 different local homeless hostels waiting to be rehoused), 80 vulnerable adult living with mental health issues, 70 elderlies, 150 children and families in the local communities. We also have a job club for young people, helping them to build their employment and life skills, enhancing their potential of accessing employment, education and training opportunities. The Rehoboth Community Outreach Club aims are to contribute to breaking the generational cycle of poverty and deprivation within families, inspire hope & healing in the heart and soul of vulnerable individuals and communities and encourage peace, unity and respect across generations. We seek and appreciate further financial, time and resource donations that enable us to meet our vision of UK communities free from food poverty and benefiting from sustained upward social and economic mobility for everyone.
