We want to replace the netting on our 2 lane outdoor cricket nets to ensure they are safe to use as the current one is old and worn out.
Swinton Moorside Cricket Club is a friendly, inclusive and welcoming club which currently has 3 senior teams and 6 junior teams.

We are hoping to use crowdfunding to help us achieve our goal and raise enough funds to give our practice nets a new lease of life and get them fit for purpose in 2026!
During difficult times it isn’t always easy to find spare funds to complete projects such as this one. This will go a long way to improving our facilities for all members, players, adults, children and become a great asset for the local community who love to play cricket.

The money will be spent on purchasing new netting for our 2 lane net facility. We do our best maintaining and repairing the old netting however having the expertise of a professional company to come and fit the netting for us will ensure it’s of the highest standard and last for many years to come.
Any additional funds raised beyond the netting would go towards general improvements such as having new lines painted, renovating the surface and also getting a containing fence in place to stop balls coming out of the nets to increase safety of those in the vicinity.

Our nets are currently used constantly throughout the summer with senior training on Tuesdays and Thursdays and also Junior training on Fridays.
At all times in the summer you can often find people of all ages, races, genders and abilities in the nets making use of them, this makes it a great place to exercise, meet new people and have fun!
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
