New patio & refurb the pavilion and changing rooms to bring it up to date and make it accessible for Cricket & other sports and Schools.
Yeadon Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited club. We run 3 senior teams, our 1XI and 2XI playing in the Bradford Premier Cricket League and 3XI in the Mid Yorkshire League on Sundays as well as our junior teams ranging from Under 9s to Under 15s who play in the Airedale & Wharfedale Junior League.
The club was formed in 1859 and is run on a voluntary basis by unpaid but very hard-working individuals.
As recent as this season (2022) we achieved promotion back to Division 1 of the Bradford League led by Captain Ryan Robinson as well as cup success winning the Jack Hampshire Cup in 2019.

Situated on the border of Bradford the area consists of a number of multi-cultural communities we pride ourselves in a being a diverse and inclusive cricket club and an active part of the local community. Our junior teams comprise both girls and boys of all ages and abilities with junior coaching led by our Junior Chair, Paul Machell.
Our facilities are used by many, not only for cricket, but Ventus Football Club, DREAM CIO, a social disability group, Yoga and also Dragons Running Club also use the building.
We also offer the Cricket Field and facilities to the Annual Yeadon Carnival as well as other groups and local schools.
We offer FREE cricket coaching to the 4 local Schools and host an annual cup between them (Queensway, Westfield, Rufford and Peter & Pauls).
Below is an image of the first ever YCC School Cup where SS Peter & Pauls Catholic Primary came away as champions!

We will be offering Yoga for the first time to our members from early Feb 2023.
We also offered our ground and facilities to two of the Quaid e Azam Premier Cricket Teams in 2022 and intend to do the same again in 2023.
We hold SummerFest, our annual Music & Beer Festival and our Annual Bonfire & Fireworks night is the largest of its kind for miles around.
We would like to be in a position in 2024 to offer our upgraded facilities to other cricket clubs and sport related groups but we need to do quite a bit of work beforehand,
Birmingham 2022 not only saw T20 Cricket make its Commonwealth Games debut, but also marked the first appearance for the women’s game, too. We have spoken with the YCB and the local university (Leeds Trinity) and we intend on developing women's cricket in 2023 under our new Head Coach - Josh Watson. This will then also benefit and boost all other areas of our club, and in turn the wider community.
We are aiming to received matched funding from the Sport England - Places and Spaces campaign to help us create and maintain this legacy
In 2021, although we returned to playing cricket after COVID19, our income was down considerably and is yet to fully recover.
Our clubhouse had minimal usage during the summer of 2020/21 due to its size and Covid restrictions that were in place.
However, we want to keep on improving our facilities.
As you can see below, it has fallen into disrepair over the last few years.

An unsafe gap between the patio and pavilion was boarded up to stop anyone falling through.

A problem area for a long time, lack of drainage and a busy through area means this part directly outside the pavilion is looking very jaded

The step up to the changing area is starting to drop and needs to come out and be replaced. The temporary bar is only used for events and in the off season to stop kids playing on the pavilion when the club is closed.

The wooden outside of the pavilion is old and the wood is starting to rot which has led to some holes appearing.

As in the picture before this, the wooden outside of the pavilion is old and the wood is starting to rot and the paving stones need some serious attention.

We will spend the money on the following:
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. If you want to run your own fundraiser to support us, maybe a sponsored activity or similar, use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
Thank you so much for taking your time and if you have pledged, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The cricketers have decided in an attempt to gain more pledges, to WALK from Methley CC all the way back to Yeadon on Sunday 18th March 2023. This is approx 18 miles and is all in aid of this Crowdfunder. Some of the juniors are also doing the walk. Please give generously to this cause and congratulate the guys for getting involved.
