I want to raise funds for Hospitality & Hope, a charity in South Tyneside which combats hunger and homelessness.
My name is Reece Oliver and I'm based in the North East of England
I've joined #TeamHandH and we couldn't be more excited!
For the last year or so, I've been aware of the charity Hospitality & Hope in South Tyneside. The more I looked, the more I saw the important work that H&H did and I was inspired to want to go the extra mile (or in this case, 13 and a half extra miles!) and participate in the Great North Run 2026 for H&H.
As part of H&H's Sporting Challenges programme for 2026 I'm participating in the Great North Run for the first time ever and I really want to make this a special event, especially due to how vital it is to raise funds for H&H, aiding in their mission to combat hunger and homelessness which is also close to my own heart.
I wanted to do something that could really help make a difference and the Great North Run is just an historic and incredible event that I've always wanted to do, and this year I'm running alongside some of my family members who are also running for their own chosen charities and I felt it was the perfect moment. Plus, the finishing line of the GNR is in South Shields and as that's Hospitality & Hope's backyard it's an ideal match.
I really hope that you're able to help support me in my quest and even a few pound and a message of support would mean so much to me and to the charity.
