Aim: We are aiming to raise funds for the Rededication of our iconic War Memorial which celebrates its centenary in May 2023.
Stonehaven War Memorial is the focal point of Stonehaven acts of remembrance and honours local men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. After 100 years, this grand old lady needs a facelift and remedial work to coincide with the centenary re-dedication on 20th May, 2023.
A community group has formed from 12 local organisations to plan and facilitate the refurbishment of this iconic monument which stands overlooking our town.
Funds raised will allow these much needed refurbishments to take place, halting any further degeneration of this historical monument.
Unused funds received will be ring-fenced to help to maintain this icon of the community and sustain the continued respect she deserves.
