Aim: Providing accessible equine sport opportunities for all, promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and confidence through therapeutic riding.

Who are we?

We’re Redberth Croft CIC – a not-for-profit equine and land-based wellbeing centre in rural Pembrokeshire. Our mission is to make outdoor therapeutic activity accessible to all, particularly those with additional needs, mental health challenges, and from underserved communities. With a special focus on equine-assisted therapy and inclusive equestrian sport, we help people gain confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We’re crowdfunding to launch our Inclusive Equine Access Project, offering accessible, affordable equine sport opportunities for children, adults, and veterans who face physical, emotional, or social barriers to participation.

Your support will help us buy adaptive tack, install mounting equipment, train volunteers, and subsidise sessions for those who need it most.

We're applying for extra funding through Sport Wales because our project tackles inequalities in access to sport and promotes inclusion – particularly for people with disabilities, additional learning needs, and those living in rural isolation.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Every pound you pledge will go even further thanks to Sport Wales match funding, doubling your impact and helping us create a safe, accessible equine facility for all.

Here’s exactly how your support will help:

  • Essential guttering to the stable block – £3,144
Prevents flooding and protects the site for year-round use.

  • External cladding of the stable block – £8,856
To meet planning requirements and ensure safe, weatherproof use.

  • Horse-safe stable windows and frames (x7) – £4,830
Brings natural light and ventilation into stables while keeping horses safe.

  • Remaining stable doors (x2) – £2,136
Final fittings to complete the secure, horse-ready facility.

  • New mains water connection – Estimated £4,000
To ensure a reliable, safe water source for horses and hygiene.

  • New electrical connection – £5,552.33
Essential for lighting, safety, and year-round operation.

  • Stable mats (x36) – £1,265.40
Increases comfort, reduces injury risk, and supports equine welfare.

Total target: £29,783.73

Thanks to Sport Wales match funding, your contribution has double the impact, helping us build a fully inclusive equine centre that serves the whole community. Every pledge counts – and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.

Community impact

This project isn’t just about riding – it’s about belonging, confidence, and connection. Our centre already supports individuals with autism, PTSD, anxiety, and physical disabilities. This new initiative will open our gates to even more people who often feel left out of sport and society.

By creating a welcoming, inclusive space rooted in nature and supported by trained staff, we’ll improve mental health, boost physical activity levels, and build stronger rural communities.

Our facilities are also used for outdoor learning, volunteering, conservation, and skills development – so the ripple effect of your support will be felt across Pembrokeshire.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways you can help us reach our goal and make this project a reality:

Make a pledge. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our goal – early support helps build momentum!

Spread the word. Share our campaign on social media and tell your friends, family, and colleagues. Every share counts!

Offer rewards. Are you a local business or maker? Donate a product, voucher, or experience we can offer to our supporters – we’ll give you a shoutout!

Fundraise for us. Run a sponsored activity, host a bake sale, or get creative! Use the 'contact project' button to let us know – we’ll support you all the way.

Together, we can create a truly inclusive equine centre for all.
