We're still collecting donations
On the 19th August 2020 we'd raised £12,630 with 267 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Red Elephant has out grown its small space and aims to move venue so we can offer much more (Beer) to our customers.

The Next Step;
A FALMOUTH BRANCH OF RED ELEPHANT BEER CELLAR.
When I took over at Red Elephant, James and I had a big conversation about the location of the shop, we knew that the lease was up in September and we also knew that for us to achieve what we wanted we would have to move. We both agreed that we couldn’t leave Truro, the business was established there and we had such a great collection of regulars and people travelling from all over the county to buy from us.
The other conclusion we came to was that a Falmouth store would be a really great thing, a town that loves craft beer with very little in the way of satisfying that thirst.
So, we have been looking for the right property in Falmouth and there are a couple of possibilities that we like, we are aiming to get a shop open in Falmouth before December to start with a Xmas busy period!
We are aiming at £15,000 for our ‘stretch target’, any money over £10k will help us open that second shop.
(All pledges will still be redeemable at the Truro store as we can't give a firm date on when the Falmouth shop will open, this way you can guarantee getting your moneys worth)

WE MADE IT!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ALL OF YOU WHO PLEDGED!!

TIME TO GROW - RED ELEPHANT BEER CELLAR NEW SHOP & WEBSITE
Hi, I’m Dom and I run Red Elephant Beer Cellar in Truro, the go-to place for craft beer in Cornwall.
The business has been going since 2013 and I took over back in February this year after being a customer and a supplier for many years.
At Red Elephant we believe that we have the greatest beers in the world, we just wanna help you find them!
Craft beer is huge with so many great breweries putting out amazing beers on a weekly basis, we installed an extra 2 fridges to try keep on top of it, but we could do with about a dozen!
We also have some great local breweries to choose from down here and we have great links with breweries such as Verdant, Pipeline, Woodmans, Black Flag, Firebrand, Treens.
I feel our biggest aim is to champion those breweries and we will always be there supporting them.
Before the pandemic I had big plans for what to do next for Red Elephant, these got put on hold a little in the current crisis but due to the massive support we got from our customers, getting us driving all over Cornwall delivering beer, it was clear that these plans don’t need to take a back seat.
So we are on to bigger and better things…
NEW SHOP;
We have a bigger better shop and we hope to open it in early August, its location is brilliant, right next door to the Cathedral and really close to one off the busiest streets in the City. You could quite easily feel like you are in Prague or Bruges!
The unit itself is about 3 times the size of the current shop so we plan to have a huge amount of refrigeration to keep as much beer in as we possibly can, we will also be installing a bar and seating area (pending approval from the council)
WHAT INVESTMENT MONEY WILL DO;
Investment money will go directly into the fridges and more stock than we can shake a stick at to go in them. We also have a very shiny website being built that will be operational around the same time that we open the new shop. We will also use investment to make a start on the bar side of the business, refurbishing the existing toilet, installing keg lines and building seating etc;
We have negotiated doing exclusive brews with local breweries such as Verdant, Pipeline, and Woodmans. These 3 breweries are killing it at the moment so we are super excited to be making beer with them that you can only get through us.
Verdant Brewery; Quite simply the most sought after beer in the UK right now, they happen to be just down the road from us and we stock everything they do. We've brewed a 6% IPA with them using lots and lots of Ekuanot and Idaho 7 hops.
Woodmans Wild Ale; Stuart Woodman is a forager and amazing brewer, he uses lots of foraged ingredients in his beers, in this instance we will be adding Blackthorne leaf, Cherry Blossom and Rowan buds in to a 9% Belgian triple.
Pipeline Brewery; Recently named a Top 10 brewery in the UK this tiny brewery in St Agnes does some of the best IPAs in the UK, we decided to brew a single hop, session, Mosaic beer at around 4%.
Pic below: Adding hops at Verdants brand new Brewery (look how shiny it is!!!)
Whilst on 'furlough' James researched extensively to find even more great beers to stock so you can look forward to many more breweries and styles in the future.
I hope you will join us on our journey, we will try our best to make sure our space is safe whilst the 'Covid crisis' is still on-going and we aim to come out of the other side as a bigger and stronger business with more wonderful beer than you will know what to do with!
Cheers!
