Improve our community garden's biodiversity, buy tools, seeds & soil for activities, as well as repair our garden & volunteer hut
Creating a welcome space for wildlife and the community at the Red Brick Building
We are a community owned social enterprise in Glastonbury offering arts, culture, food, workspaces and community spaces, using any profit for community impact.
Our community garden is currently run by a part-time gardener and a small but perfectly formed team of volunteers. Together, they support a range of vulnerable groups, individuals and organisations through garden activities to improve mental & physical wellbeing and food & nutrition knowledge, while promoting sustainability.

The Garden is organic with a focus on being as wildlife friendly as possible.
Through our garden activities, we aim to promote wellbeing, connection to others, education and enjoyment. We work with vulnerable groups, but also help individuals on a one-to-one basis where possible - for example, B. B suffered severe anxiety and depression and was able to access activities in the garden. Their interest subsequently expanded to learning about growing, which we supported directly with no pressure or time constraints. B extended this hobby in their personal life and the shift in their mental health improvement has been dramatic.
We work and collaborate with organisations and groups such as Glastonbury Mental Health Network and Feed Avalon, who run courses and activities open to all.
Our garden hut known as The Argos Building (it's actually made out of recycled Argos Catalogues!) is in desperate need of repair and refurb. We also need some new tools for our gardening team, along with seeds, soil, pots and planting accessories for our activities, and some new seating would be amazing.
With your support we can improve the garden for wildlife, the community, volunteers and the groups who benefit from this much-loved space - Thank you.
