We aim to offer new recreational Handball sessions in order to provide more opportunities for all members of our community to play
We are a small local community club who offer a fun and welcoming environment for people of all ages to come and play Handball.

We are very proud to be open and inclusive to all members of our community, and run a mixture of competitive teams and recreational activities to allow everyone to take part at their preferred level. We focus on development and enjoyment over performance and results and pride ourselves on a welcoming club environment
Following on from the COVID-19 Pandemic, our first crowdfunding campaign helped us re-launch our recreational adult sessions and u12 sessions, as these two groups saw the biggest decline in participants due to financial constraints. Our successful crowdfunding campaign helped us re-launch the sessions and cover the majority of the costs, to make the sessions accessible and affordable to more participants. Since then, the interest in the sessions have grown and we would like to offer more opportunities for more members of our community to participate in our activities.
Our adult recreational and our U12 sessions have now become two of our most popular sessions, and as a result we need to organise new training sessions to cope with the demand, as well as buy more equipment to allow all of the participants to get the most out the sessions. The additional sessions will also require us to train up a larger workforce to be able to provide safe and quality activities for our participants.
The money raised will go towards:
These things will ensure our new sessions are affordable, accessible and enjoyable for all members of the community.
Our Recreational Handball sessions have had a significant impact on the physical, mental and social wellbeing on our community, here are the words of some of our members:
"It has been wonderful to start the recreational Handball sessions. They are always good fun and inclusive for people of all levels of fitness and experience. I didn't realise how much I'd missed playing team sport since giving up football. It has inspired me to get fitter too, doing extra bits of training in the week to help my game - wish I'd discovered Handball 45 years ago!"

Our work with young people has also had a positive impact in our community. We have done a lot of outreach work in local primary schools, and support the Stroud Primary Handball festival every year, which sees over 100 young people taking part, many of whom do not get the opportunity to represent their school in other sports.
The funding from this project will also help us offer more opportunities for those engaging with Handball in school, to continue playing on a regular basis.
Some of our young stars have even gone on to represent Great Britain! With your help, we can help more young people achieve their potential!

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
