Recover from covid losses. buy new coaching kit, invest in coaching internal and external, purchase new hybrid pitches to play more cricket.
Wykeham CC pride itself on being a friendly inclusive family club where players can come and play regardless of race, gender, age, or ability.
We are a village with a population of just circa 300 successfully supporting 5 junior teams, 3 Senior Saturday teams, and 2 evening league teams.

Despite heavy Covid related losses in revenue from social events, canteen monies, club revenues, and social and wellbeing we aim to make up for this in 2021!
Our next evolution is to introduce a place where women and girls can play cricket and love the game regardless of ability and hopefully in time build the game for future generations to come.
The girls will need coaches and softball and hardball bats and balls and equipment, which cost hundreds of pounds we have hired Leah Dobson and Heather Marsay they are part-funded but additional monies (£1000's) will be required for more coaches when the numbers grow which is the objective.

Cricket provides our 5 junior teams benefits including physical and mental health and awesome social development opportunities.
Increased coaching will help our members.

With Covid still very much here, we need to offer our juniors their own kit to play with for the season as not all have it, plastic bats for U9s and balls, and also a kit for U11, U12, U13, U15's mixed teams, and women teams same.
All the senior sides will benefit from the new pitch and allow more games to be played on the new surface offering more games to be played in the season and a new surface to play on too.
Senior players will also benefit from external coaching in the preseason.

The new pitches will be a great tool for clubs up and down the country allowing clubs to play more games than before, with 12 teams playing at Wykeham we simply must ensure we can play all the games and support our volunteers who work tirelessly on the ground.
The pitches are ECB-approved and every level of cricket except International cricket can be played on them something I don't think Wykeham has to worry about currently, but what a great opportunity for our players to have these at our local club.

Thank you!
